The Problem with Front Splits

In this new episode, I discuss the Pilates splits and the challenges they present. I explain that movement is made up of strength, range of motion, and skill, and explore the challenges of the Pilates splits.

I demonstrate different variations of the front and back splits on the reformer and discuss the benefits and considerations of each variation. I also touche on the calming and energizing effects of different stretches.
